Singleton Council proposes the upgrade of the existing saleyards at the Singleton Regional Livestock Market to generate increased activity and sales, improved access, safety and amenity and ensuring appropriate animal welfare. A major component of the redevelopment of the saleyards is the installation of a roof structure of approximately 14,400m2 comprising of two different sized roofs oriented in two directions to cover part of the saleyards enabling all weather operation. Other works includes new entry/egress points and internal roads.

A Visual impact assessment was undertaken as part of the development application to determine the visual impacts and identify appropriate mitigation measures.
