The Mulgoa Sanctuary Guidelines outline the overall design process for the residential homes and assist in meeting the vision for Mulgoa Sanctuary.

Mulgoa Sanctuary contains areas of sloping land that provide magnificent views to the Blue Mountains and surrounding bushland, and areas that front onto bushland and parklands. Designing of homes to fit sensitively with the landform is an important consideration for the guidelines. The goal is to integrate various forms of house designs that complement the existing neighbourhood whilst maintaining views to the mountains, the valley and ridge lines and the protection of visually sensitive areas.
