The Echuca – Moama Bridge project provides a new crossing of the Murray River downstream of the existing Echuca – Moama Bridge. The project creates a new alignment for the Cobb Highway through Moama.

Urban design strategy including concept designs and detailed design for the realigned and upgraded Cobb Highway through Moama. Urban design initiatives include:

 

• The new entry, realignment and upgrading of the highway provides an opportunity for a southern and northern gateway treatment along Cobb Highway. 

• Avenue street tree planting to reinforce the Cobb Highway hierarchy.

• Gravel textured paths and potential for sculptural elements with seating linking to other art initiatives by the Council. 

• New bespoke gateway signage and furniture including bus shelter.
