Master plan review of the Armidale Airport Precinct as part of an overarching initiative by Armidale Council to create a modern, connected city and region.

Development of indicative built form concepts for the expansion of facilities within the airport precinct. The concepts were to include upgrading the terminal, development of the adjoining business park and industrial land and car parking throughout the airport precinct. 

 

The location of the airport adjoining the highway into the city was a key factor that needed careful consideration in the planning and built form guidelines. Placement of buildings and design of outdoor areas including parking and storage within the airport precinct are carefully considered to ensure visual amenity is improved for visitors and users.
